Welcome to Lakeland Craft House (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, browsing our products, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website. These Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors, customers, and users of the Lakeland Craft House website.
1. About Lakeland Craft House
Lakeland Craft House is a small, Ontario-based craft initiative offering handmade and custom items. All proceeds from sales are donated to the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward(HSHPE).
Purchases made through Lakeland Craft House are treated as retail transactions in support of charitable fundraising.
2. Products and Descriptions
We take care to accurately describe and photograph our products. However:
• All items are handmade or small-batch, and slight variations in colour, texture, or finish may occur
• Colours may vary slightly due to screen or device settings
• Product dimensions are approximate unless otherwise stated. Any natural variations in the products produced are not considered defects.
3. Orders and Payments
• All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated
• Payment is due in full at the time of purchase• Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers
• Lakeland Craft House does not store or retain payment card details
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if fraud, error, or misuse is suspected.
4. Shipping and Delivery
• Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are provided at checkout
• Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed• We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs processing, weather, or other events outside our control.
Once an order has shipped, responsibility transfers to the shipping carrier.
5. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the charitable nature of Lakeland Craft House:
• All sales are final, unless an item arrives damaged or defective
• If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue
• Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion
Refunds are not issued for:
• Change of mind
• Minor handmade variations
• Incorrect address provided by the customer
6. Charity and Donation Transparency
All net proceeds from Lakeland Craft House sales are donated to the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward (HSHPE).
Purchases:
• Are not tax-receipted charitable donations
• Do not create a donor relationship between the customer and HSHPE
• Do not result in customer data being shared with the charity without consent
Lakeland Craft House retains full responsibility for order fulfillment, customer service, and website operations.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including images, designs, illustrations, logos, product concepts,text, and layouts is the property of Lakeland Craft House, unless otherwise stated. Lakeland Craft House may offer handcrafted items that incorporate third-party imagery.Such imagery is used only where Lakeland Craft House has obtained appropriate permission, licence, or is otherwise legally entitled to do so. Lakeland Craft House does not assert ownership over third-party intellectual property. Charitable donation of proceeds does not alter or replace applicable intellectual property rights.
You may not:
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or sell our designs or content
• Use our artwork for commercial purposes
• Remove watermarks or branding
Personal, non-commercial sharing (e.g. social media with credit) is welcomed and appreciated.
8. Website Use
You agree not to:
• Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to interfere with site functionality or security
• Misrepresent your identity or intent
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the site if misuse is detected.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• Lakeland Craft House shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability related to any purchase shall not exceed the purchase price of the item
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Governing Law
