Welcome to Lakeland Craft House (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, browsing our products, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website. These Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors, customers, and users of the Lakeland Craft House website.

 

1. About Lakeland Craft House

Lakeland Craft House is a small, Ontario-based craft initiative offering a selection of unique hand-crafted items.

Purchases help support Lakeland Craft House’s broader efforts to contribute to local animal welfare initiatives in the Quinte region.

 

2. Products and Descriptions

We take care to accurately describe and photograph our products. However:

• All items are handmade or small-batch, and slight variations in colour, texture, or finish may occur

• Colours may vary slightly due to screen or device settings

• Product dimensions are approximate unless otherwise stated. Any natural variations in the products produced are not considered defects.

 

3. Orders and Payments

• All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated

• Payment is due in full at the time of purchase

• Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers

• Lakeland Craft House does not store or retain payment card details

 

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if fraud, error, or misuse is suspected.

 

4. Shipping and Delivery

• Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are provided at checkout

• Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed

• We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs processing, weather, or other events outside our control.

 

Once an order has shipped, responsibility transfers to the shipping carrier.

 

5. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

• All sales are final, unless an item arrives damaged or defective

• If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue

• Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion

 

Refunds are not issued for:

• Change of mind

• Minor handmade variations

• Incorrect address provided by the customer

 

6. Charity and Donation Transparency

Lakeland Craft House operates is committed to transparency in its communications with customers.

From time to time, and at its sole discretion, Lakeland Craft House may provide support to one or more animal welfare or humane society organizations operating within the Quinte region of Ontario. Such support may include, but is not limited to, monetary donations, in-kind contributions, fundraising initiatives, or collaborative activities.

 

Unless expressly stated in writing at the point of sale, within a clearly identified promotional campaign, or in a product-specific description:

  • No fixed or guaranteed portion of any individual sale, transaction, or purchase price is donated

  • Not all products, sales, time periods, or revenue streams are included in charitable support

  • The amount, timing, frequency, form, and recipient(s) of any support are determined solely by Lakeland Craft House

  • Recipient organizations may vary or change without notice

 

Any references on this website, packaging, or marketing materials to supporting animal welfare causes or local humane societies are intended to reflect Lakeland Craft House’s general mission and values and do not constitute a representation, warranty, or guarantee under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) that a specific donation will be made in connection with any particular purchase.

 

Lakeland Craft House is not a registered charity and does not act as a trustee, fiduciary, fundraising agent, or collection intermediary for any third-party charitable organization unless expressly stated in writing. Purchases made through this website are for goods only and do not constitute charitable donations, nor do they confer any charitable tax receipt or benefit.

 

Any updates or disclosures regarding charitable support are provided voluntarily for informational purposes only. The absence of an update does not imply that support has not been provided, nor does it create an ongoing obligation to do

Lakeland Craft House may offer handcrafted items that incorporate third-party imagery. Lakeland Craft House does not assert ownership over third-party intellectual property. Charitable donation of proceeds does not alter or replace applicable intellectual property rights.
